Girl Of Our Dreams: Kate Lanphear
Remember when we touched on a couple gents with iconic haircuts? Well, today we wanted to focus on one of our favorite female style icons, Kate Lanphear, and her quintessentially Kate ‘do. The platinum hair, the asymmetrical cut and androgynous glam style- it all makes us go weak in the knees! What we especially love about the cut is its versatility. Kate can use product, like Oribe‘s Dry Texturizing Spray for a dry look or their Supershine Light for a more wet look, to accentuate her disjointed layers and make the cut more piecey and hard. Or, she can use Living Proof‘s Full Root Lifting Spray for a full blowout that will give her volume for days. This cut can go from conservative to edgy, rock-n-roll to glam, and we think it’s divine.
Though she’s leaving her long-time position as Style Director at Elle and it’s not yet clear how the next phase of her career will unfold, we’re certain she’ll bring with her the wispy, asymmetrical, platinum blonde look that we all know and so dearly love.
