Remembering Sassoon

October 15, 2012

Visionary and styling superhero, Vidal Sassoon, passed away earlier this year at the age of 84, but his mark on the hair industry will always remain.  His work was innovative, shocking, and still to this day has a sense of boundary-bending, freshness, and precision that I will always admire.  Hair is an artistic medium and his cuts were masterpieces (click here to see a gallery of his work).

As such, I’m thrilled to learn that a book has just been published entitled Vidal Sassoon: How One Man Changed the World with a Pair of Scissors.  I’m very much looking forward to pouring myself a hot cup of tea (or perhaps a glass of wine) and reading about the man who forever changed our industry.
