Style Inspiration

August 17, 2012

Whenever I’m looking for style inspiration for my next haircut, instead of flipping through the pages of a hair magazine, I usually head to The Sartorialist.  I love that his photographs give us a taste of wearable styles from around the world (and, specifically, the chicest people from around the world) and it’s always a great place to find a new way to braid your long hair, a fun new blowout style, or a sexy new cut.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the last couple months.  What are yours?

First of all, that blowout is perfection.  Really, old school glamour at its finest, don’t you agree?  Also, that outfit/print is perfect for a warm summer day in Milan- or anywhere, really.  Looove!

It’s a little unclear as to whether or not this New Yorker is waiting for her hair to set before taking out her pincurls, or is just rockin’ the rolled look, but either way I like it.  And those earrings are killer.

I love everything here- the yellow denim, the printed belt, and her totally effortless hair. Gorgeous!

Love her little ombre braid and super love her beautiful bike.

One thing that always catching my eye when looking through The Sartorialist‘s street style photos, is what his subjects have on their feet.  Of course, we get lots of shots of beautiful women in equally beautiful shoes, but in a lot of the shots the woman have on comfortable footwear that is sure to get them from point A to point B.  Living in a city means that sometimes you have to compromise style for comfort, and I love seeing what people wear to stay comfortable and get around town.

For example:

Love it.  Have a stylish weekend, friends!!
