The Demi-Bob

April 25, 2011

It’s always so refreshing to get rid of a dry ends and unnecessary heaviness come spring, and all of us at Avanti have been delighted by the number of clients who’ve asked us to keep cutting shorter, and shorter, and shorter this spring!  Ergo, we’ve been happily cutting an astounding number of bobs, which makes perfect sense as everyone from Brooklyn Decker to Jennifer Aniston has chopped their signature long locks into off-the-shoulder looks in recent months.  Vogue has even gone so far as to call this shorter length a “beauty phenomenon” and dubs it the “demi-bob,” a cut that hits anywhere between mid-neck and the shoulder.

What’s great about the demi-bob is how versatile it can be, and clients have been asking for shorter cuts that are severe and angular, choppy and whimsical, and classically chic.  No matter what they desire, we love giving clients a fresh new look with lots of movement, body, and volume!

Last Thursday, a wonderful new client named Jessica come into the salon for a transformative color and cut with Louise Chobanian.  Jessica is an ex-pat visiting from Denmark, and came to us because she knew her hair needed some extra TLC. Right away, Louise knew just what she needed to do to give Jessica a style more warmth and sophistication.

After a little bit of color and a lot of bravery, Jessica had a look that complimented her complexion, accentuated her smiling eyes, and had a whole lot of movement!  We love her new cut and color, and are so pleased that she loves it even  more!

A major thank you to Jessica and Louise Chobanian for letting us share!
